The department is volunteer, and it stays standing because people in the community step up. No experience needed, we train you from the ground up. If you can answer a page, we want to hear from you.
What we ask
The requirements.
Of age
You must be at least 18 years old.
A valid licence
A valid Class 5 driver’s licence. We help you get the air-brake and higher classes if you need them.
Within response distance
You live or work close enough to the hall to answer a call in good time.
Reasonably fit
The work is physical. You do not need to be an athlete, but you need to be able to do it safely.
