The department

Serving the Town of Milk River and our district of the County of Warner No. 5, with mutual aid to surrounding departments.
The crew is made up of volunteers from around the town and the county, people who keep their gear by the door and answer the page when it goes. They are business owners, equipment operators, farmers, contractors, and paramedics, and they train through the year so they are ready when the call comes.
The Society
Behind the department.
The Milk River Fire Department is the crew and the trucks that answer the calls. Behind it stands the Milk River Firefighters Society, a not-for-profit registered under Alberta’s Societies Act, and the body that runs this site. The Society supports fire prevention and community safety by fundraising to supply new equipment and apparatus, as well as performing community engagement, education, and fire prevention activities.
